Two Month Stats

Under the influence of Tylenol

We started the day off great.  I went to bed before 9 last night.  Katherine slept 6 1/2 hours, waking up at 2:30 to eat.  After she ate she was wide awake and did not want to go back to sleep.  After being up with her for an hour and a half Paul came in and offered to sit with her.  He had her back in bed within 20 minutes or so.  She woke again around 6 to eat.  We stayed up after that.  Ideally she will wake up around 6 to eat once I go back to work.  Luke slept 10 1/2 hours last night.  He woke up very excited and refreshed.

I had a follow up appointment with my eye doctor this morning.  Katherine went with me and did great.  When they saw I had my "sidekick" they ushered my straight back to the exam room.  We were in and out within 15 minutes.  That has to be some sort of record.

We also had Katherine's two month well visit today.  She had to get several shots and cried really hard for a few minutes but then she was fine.  At two months Katherine is very alert.  She has started cooing and making more noises.  She also smiles a lot and it is so cute.  She nurses every 3 - 4 hours during the day and is stretching her feedings out longer and longer during the night with her longest being 7 hours.  She can move her head from side to side when on her tummy and seems to have very strong neck muscles.  Her episodes of spitting up seem to be less frequent and not as much at one time since we started the Zantac a couple of weeks ago.  Overall she is a very happy, content baby.  Dr. Patterson does not feel Katherine has a true milk allergy since she does not exhibit some of the standard symptoms.  She offered some suggestions on things I can try in my diet and see if that seems to affect her.
