Chihuly at Cheekwood and Two Months!

Katherine and the kids

Luke's favorite sculpture

Luke and Emma stayed in the stroller all of 3 minutes!

Luke loved the "balloons"

Amazing!

Katherine and I enjoyed the outing

Ready to go home

Katherine was a doll the whole time!
Tuesday we celebrated Katherine's two month birthday by going to the Chihuly exhibit at Cheekwood. Katherine, Emma, Nonna and Nene all came, too!  Hanne stayed home with Rico because she was too tired for the trip.  The exhibit was so cool.  Katherine and I decided it would be a good date night. It was hard to really appreciate the art with two kids running around . Even though we had two extra sets of hands the kids were still a lot to keep up with!  Luke wanted to do everything Emma was doing and vice versa.  There is just a lot of love between those two.

Katherine was great.  She stayed awake most of the trip but was very content to be outside.  Nonna gave her a bottle when we first got there and that kept her satisfied until we got home.  Mom got a family membership so I hope to be going back a lot.  We enjoyed the good company and terrific weather.

Really, Dad?

Daddy's new little helper

Luke loves the computer
Paul took the picture of Katherine when he was doing a few things around my  mom's house.  I thought it was pretty cute.  Luke's imagination has blossomed in the past month or so.  It seems like out of nowhere he is pretending all the time, making up names and stories.  One of his latest things is new names for everyone.  Paul is Vinegar, I am Jane and he is Yellow.  Today he told me not to call him Luke that his name was Yellow.  He pronounces it "lala".  Sunday when Paul went to get him from Sunday School his security label had come off his shirt.  The substitute asked him if his name was Luke and he told him no that it was "lala".  Too funny! We have no idea where he came up with Paul and my nicknames but that is what he calls us half the time.  He also enjoys "cooking" us meals and "working" in the yard and on construction projects.  It is such a fun time!

Oh, How Times Have Changed

Laura and I with our girls
Mrs. Morris, Laura and Mackenzie

Nonna and Katherine

Mrs. Reynolds "entertaining" us

A good time with great friends!
Monday night Virginia, Laura and I, along with our moms and kids got together at Mom's house for supper.  Hunter was sick so, unfortunately he was not with us.  Luke missed him!  Katherine had been wonderful for me all day. We ran errands, cleaned house and got ready for the evening.  She did not make a peep all day!  She was sleeping when it was close to time for everyone to get to mom's and it was time for her to eat.  I decided to wake her up and feed her before everyone got there.  Guess that was my first mistake. She did not eat well and was fussy most of the night.  I was a little frustrated because I really wanted the night to be fun for everyone (including me).  Mackenzie is too cute!  I think she and Katherine are pretty close to the same size.  Mackenzie ended up falling asleep in the baby bed in mom's living room. We ended up leaving close to 8 o'clock because Luke was ready for bed.  When he asked if he could go home I knew it was time to leave.  I hated to leave early, but I knew it was best for all of us.  The party went on long after we left.  I was glad to know that everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully we will not wait so long to all get together next time!

Katherine's First Church Service

Ready for church!
Loving this sweet moment
After a few attempts at us all four making it to church we finally succeeded!  We had a smooth night Saturday and all woke up feeling pretty good so we really had no reason to not go to church.  Even though we were up and going in plenty of time we still left a few minutes after Paul's desired time, haha!  Since the 9:45 worship service is so crowded we wanted to get there early to make sure we had a good seat with an easy exit option.  Katherine did great!  She slept through most of the service only to stir when we applauded.  She seemed to enjoy the singing and the preaching.  She normally eats around 10:30 and worship is over at 10:45.  I left with her and gave her a bottle in the foyer.  I had no idea how many people sit in the foyer to listen to the service.  I had a hard time finding an empty seat!  She took her bottle pretty slowly so we were still there when the pastor exited the door close to us.  It kind of reminded me of a game day tunnel.  All the people sitting in the foyer shook his hand and congratulated him on a good sermon.  He stopped to talk with Katherine and me.  Katherine put her little hand up and grabbed his finger.  He said that she gave him a "high five"!  Pretty cute.

Paul and Luke returned after this and we headed to the car and for a quick diaper change.  We were not able to get a family shot so I had to settle on just Katherine and I in the picture.  She wore a sweet dress and booties that Paula gave her and a monogrammed bib she received as a gift.  I thought she looked precious!  We enjoyed our traditional "after church lunch" at Subway which was extremely crowded due to a soccer tournament at the park.

A Visit with Jon Jon and Meme

Working puzzles with Jon
Sweet boy

Saturday morning Paul and Luke went to Gallatin to help Pop with some things.  Katherine and I stayed behind to get ready for Jon and Kristen to visit.  The UT game came on at 11:30 and they were coming to hang out with us and watch the game.  I have not been to the grocery store in 2 weeks with the exception of running in to get milk and bread.  So, I had little to offer in the way of fun game day food.  Jon and Kristen brought some wings and dip. Paul stopped at Publix and picked up a few things too.  We had such a good visit with them.  I just love Kristen and am so excited when we can spend time together and that she will officially be my sister soon! Luke also loves his Jon Jon and Meme. He had a little photo shoot with Kristen as his model, worked puzzles with Jon and just thoroughly entertained us.  Katherine slept most of the time with the exception of waking to eat and to let Kristen hold her. Luckily UT won  but it was too close considering they played UAB.

That night we watched the Auburn/ South Carolina game.  Katherine had gotten a little fussy after her 5 o'clock feeding and it only got worse towards her last feeding of the day.  She seemed more gassy than normal and was hard to console.  I had been withholding milk and yogurt from my diet for 2 weeks thinking that might be causing some of her reflux and tummy aches.  Well, I just had to have a small glass of milk with the cookies I made Saturday afternoon.  I guess I got my answer....Katherine just can not tolerate milk products right now.  We hope this is something she outgrows eventually.  Once she was calmed down (after gas drops, Zantac and Gripe Water) she ate well and went to bed.  She slept 6 1/2 hours!  I woke up frantic thinking I had not heard her crying, but she was fine.

We also moved Katherine to her room Friday night.  She has transitioned very smoothly so far (knock on wood)!  The glider rocker is still in our room so when she wakes up to eat I bring her back over and then return her to her bed when she is done.  I think Paul and I are more concerned about Luke waking up than the affect it would have on her.  She tends to get pretty loud during diaper changes!  We should have everything moved to her room in the next few days!

A Night with My Girls

To illustrate what a fun night I had with my girlfriends I did not take any pictures.  Nope, did not even pack the camera.  Thursday night I met Laura and Virginia at Chef's.  This was the first time I have been out with friends since Katherine was born.  We had a great time!  Cheryl was working that night and was excited to see us girls so she told us to get whatever we wanted to eat and she would take care of us.  How sweet was that?!?  We had a great meal and even better conversation.  When we get together we always have so much to talk about.  Virginia even made a list of questions to ask us so she would not forget anything....love her!  After we finished dinner Cheryl insisted we have dessert so we picked out their strawberries and cream cake and the chocolate Elvis.  We got 1/2 pieces--they were still huge!  Both were heavenly and only made better by the large carafe of decaf coffee Cheryl brought to the table for us to enjoy!  Laura and I agreed it would be hard to loose the last few baby pounds if we ate like that all the time.

When I got home a little after 9 o'clock both kids were happily sleeping in bed.  Paula had come to help Paul with the nighttime duties since both kids go to bed at the same time every night.  What a great night!

Luke's Foot

Several people have called or emailed to inquire about Luke's foot...thank you!  The visit with the doctor went extremely well on Thursday afternoon.  Paula came to watch Katherine while Luke and I went to get his foot checked out.  Luke was great in the waiting room.  We just played and read books.  We still had to wait about an hour before we got to see Dr. Chris.  Luke was a little shy at first but quickly warmed up to Dr. Chris's silly antics.  After hearing the story of Luke's leg and examining it he determined that Luke would be completely back to normal in less than 2 weeks!  He said the initial injury probably cracked or almost cracked the bone. It was well on its way to healing itself when he re-injured it.  He said just to be careful on it.  While I was talking to the doctor Luke climbed up in a chair and in to the sill of the office window to "count the cars" in the parking lot.  I was mortified when I turned around and saw what he had done.  Dr. Chris quickly told me he was watching him the whole time and kids did that all the time.   We were so relieved to get good news.  Luke is pretty much back to normal - running, skipping and playing.  He still has a slight limp that should disappear pretty soon.

Time Flies

Katherine - 1 month, 3 weeks
Luke - 2 months, 1 week
I really am not sure where this week has gone.  After looking at the calendar for next week it is just going to keep going faster.  Wednesday Katherine and I went and visited Nanny at my mom's.  I know the days get long there by herself.  Mom was able to come home on her lunch break to eat with us. Afterward Nanny and I sorted through more things to put in the yard sale.  I still have all the things from my other grandmother that need to be gone through.  Katherine was great and slept most of the time.  Nanny was able to hold her and talk to her a while.  We left from there to pick Luke up from school.  I am happy to report we departed the school grounds without incident.

Later Wednesday evening I took Luke to the bathroom and he did not want to put his clothes back on. We made it a game and I started "chasing" him around.  Well wouldn't you know that Luke decided he could run the night before we were scheduled to see the pediatric ortho specialist?  It was not a graceful run, but it was definitely faster than he has been getting around since he initially hurt his leg at school two weeks ago.  Paul also commented that Luke's mood and attitude were much improved and more like normal the past 24 hours or so.  Paul and I toyed with the idea of canceling the ortho appointment but decided it was best to keep it to get his opinion on what happened to Luke's leg.

Paul suggested that I put Luke to bed and he would give Katherine a bottle and put her to bed Wednesday night.  We had done this once before and it went ok.  This particular night did not go as well.  Luke really did not want me to take him to bed  but after much coaxing he was fine.  As has become his nightly ritual after reading books and saying prayers he requested to go the bathroom.  I can not really say no since he is pretty much 100% potty trained.  He still wears pull-ups at night as a precaution.  I left him alone to go brush my teeth.  When I came back he had made his way to our bedroom and was crawling in the bed.  Paul was also still up with Katherine pacing around.  This was after 9:00 and Katherine is normally sound asleep by then.  We decided to "switch".  I quickly got Katherine to sleep and Paul emerged from Luke's bedroom a little while later.  I guess we should leave well enough alone as the saying goes.

Time with Nanny

Enjoying Nanny's visit
Nanny helped give Katherine a bottle
Nonna held K during supper since she was crying
Today K and I spent the day at home.  For some reason she was not a good napper today which is very out of character for her.  I had several things I wanted to get done but she had other plans.  Finally I gave in and let her nap on me while I watched a movie.  This afternoon we went to pick Nanny up.  She came home with us for dinner.  Nonna was going to join us when she finished at work.  Paul and Luke were already home.  Nanny got to witness the chaos that is our house in the afternoons.  The phone rang numerous times, Katherine decided she was hungry right now and Luke was "helping" me make brownies.  Nanny helped by keeping Luke occupied for some of the time and finished giving Katherine her bottle.

We enjoyed a simple hamburger supper.  Nanny is having a yard sale in a couple of weeks so I was wanting some help on how to price things.  I am selling a lot of Luke's baby clothes and some other things.  I am also going to put some things in a consignment sale the end of October so I am trying to decide what items should go to which sale.  We had a great time tonight.  Katherine and I are going to visit with Nanny again tomorrow.

It's Monday

and I did not take a single picture today.  Luke's leg is still bothering him.  He was still asleep by the time he is normally up so Paul decided to let him sleep and be a little late to work.  He woke up close to 7 and was in a great mood.  He was super excited to be going to school.  I waited around most of the day for the doctor to call.  They called late this afternoon and said the earliest appointment available with the ortho doctor was Thursday afternoon.  Obviously I had no choice but to take it.  When I picked Luke up from school today his teacher told me (again) that he is still limping on it....really? I had not noticed.  I explained to her that we had taken him back to the doctor and that he had an appointment with a specialist.  On most days I arrive to pick Luke up about the same time his best girl friend is leaving, too.  We had a couple of issues last week with neither child wanting to leave and go home.  Well this afternoon it was a royal doozy!  Is that a word?

Anyway, Rylee's mom and I let the kids go play in the fountain while we talked.  When it was time to go both kids vehemently refused.  We prodded, coaxed and bribed to no avail.  Finally Rylee's mom resorted to carrying her kicking and screaming to their car.  This was not really an option for me as I am carrying a sleeping baby in the infant carrier.  Luke went hobbling, albeit quickly, towards Rylee's car which was across the parking lot.  I  hurried after him as he is screaming "Rylee, Rylee come over here".  He started to moan and wail as I was hollering for him to stop.  When he would not stop I had to grab him one handed and drag him back to our car.  This made his hollering worse.  I was so embarrassed.  Without going in to much more detail I got him safely strapped in his car seat and we were off.  Somehow Katherine did not wake up during this whole ordeal.  Luke cried and yelled for most of the drive home.  When he finally calmed down I did not say a word.  He kept asking me questions.  I told him I was very sad about the way he acted.

We had a long talk when we got home about behaving like a big boy.  He could tell I was upset although I never raised my voice.  I just calmly explained to him that is not how big boys act and that he needed to not do that anymore.  The rest of the afternoon was surprisingly calm.  When he would start to moan or say no I would ask him if he remembered our talk and he would say "Mommy's not sad now".  Just broke my heart.  As trying as a 2 1/2 year old can be I would not trade it for anything.  Oh, and I have made a mental note to try my best to pick him up before Rylee leaves from now on.

What to do

Sunday started with good intentions.  I had every intention of going to church Sunday; even had mom on call to come watch Katherine so the three of us to go.  With Katherine sleeping until 7:30 or a little later most mornings it is very hard for me to get up while she is still sleeping.  By the time we were both up and she was fed I determined we would not have enough time to get us all ready and out the door, so we did not make it to church again this week.  Maybe next week?  So, this is bad, but since we did not get ready in time to go to church I suggested we go over to the park for a stroll since the weather was not too hot.  We all packed up and off we went.

Paul pushed Katherine in the big stroller and I pushed Luke in a little umbrella stroller we have.  We have yet to make the big double stroller purchase but will be forced to soon as we have several "field trips" planned.  We had a nice walk and then Luke played on the playground while Katherine and I made another lap.  We were home within an hour and getting ready for lunch at Nonna's.  She and Nanny were cooking us a traditional Sunday lunch.

While we were getting ready Luke fell asleep on our bed.  I decided to take Katherine and go on to Mom's and let Paul and Luke join us when Luke woke up . We learned last week that waking Luke up from his nap does not have the best outcome.  Lunch was great - pork chops, real mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese and so forth.  Paul and Luke were there fairly quickly.  We watched some of the Titans game and Paul did a couple of chores for Mom.  We enjoyed spending time with Nanny.  Luke enjoyed it so much he refused to leave when it was time to go.  His latest verbage is "I can't not go home now".  Everything is "I can't not do this or that".  After much persuasion he still did not want to leave.  Nonna offered to bring him home later.  We took her up on it.  Nonna, Nanny and Luke went to Target and had a picnic supper before coming home later that night.  We are so excited that Nanny is going to be visiting all week!

A Better Saturday?

Working on some tummy time
We were hopeful for a better Saturday around here.  Luke was pretty whiny this morning after a a restless night.  He was up several times which meant Paul was up several times.  Neither were in a good mood this morning.  Luke was complaining even more about his leg and he seemed to be limping worse.  I made a call to the doctor's office and was happy to learn that Dr. Patterson was in the walk-in clinic this morning.  Paul took him over there for her to look at it again.  Although it is not terribly swollen it is obviously still bothering him.  Katherine and I stayed here.  She seemed to be uneasy with a tummy ache most of the morning.

Dr. P had Luke walk in the hallway and asked if he could run.  She said there is definitely something still wrong with it.  After she reviewed the x-rays from Vandy again she and Paul decided it would be best if Luke went to see an orthopedic doctor.  More than likely it will be the same one we saw for Katherine's foot.  Dr. P suggested we keep Luke off his foot as much as possible.  We can still give him Motrin if we know he will be on it quite a bit.  Paul also talked to her about the rash around his mouth.  The sample ointment we were given on a previous visit just seems to dry it out and make it more inflamed.  She gave us a new ointment to try.  She said it was absolutely nothing to worry about.  It is one of those things that drive the parents crazy but does not bother the kid at all.  They also talked about Luke's nighttime habits.  She had several suggestions for us to try but said we had our hands full with a new baby and Luke's foot and not to make any drastic changes.  She also said Luke's whiny behavior is directly related to his leg.  We pretty much knew that since it started shortly after he hurt it.  He just can not do the things he is used to doing or wants to do so he gets upset more easily.

More than likely we will be going to the ortho doctor Tuesday or Thursday.  Paula came and got Luke late this afternoon and brought him home in time for bed.  Paul and I enjoyed the semi quiet house and did lots of laundry and watched football.  Luke was not happy when he came home because he thought he was going to spend the night with Nene and Pop.  After he calmed down and had his bath he fell asleep quickly.

Say Cheese!

This is as much cooperation as I could get
I was so excited it was Friday today.  I am not really sure why.  We do not have any particularly exciting weekend plans, but I was still happy that it was Friday.  I celebrated by picking up a fall candle while Katherine and I were out.  Somehow I did not have one.  I guess I used them all up last year and I love the smells of pumpkin and spices!  Paul got off a little early and offered to get Luke.  I was glad because Katherine was napping and I hated to wake her.  When they got home we decided we go grab a bite to eat.  It takes us forever to get of the door with two kids now.  I check and double check the diaper bag to make sure we have enough supplies for both kids.  By the time we were ready to leave Luke was whining that he did not want to go because his foot hurt and Katherine was fussy. We decided to chance it anyway.

We wanted to eat at Salsarita's in Hendersonville.  We had not been there in months and the last time we had gone they were closed.  Well, they are still closed.  Not sure why, but that spoiled our plans.  Luke has been whining the whole time that he wanted Old MacDonald's.  Since our first choice was closed and Paul and I could not come up with any other options we decided to eat at MacDonald's. Luke was super excited.  I got a salad.  I would not recommend the salads there.  I ate the chicken off the top and that was about it.  Luke barely ate his meal and started throwing a fit to go on the playground.  We did not think the playground was a good idea since he was complaining of his foot.  Of course, by then he was saying it was not hurting even though he was still hobbling on it.  Katherine was also letting her dissatisfaction be known as well.  As we loaded both screaming kids in to the car I asked Paul why we had not taken his mother up on her offer for us to have a date night...Here's to the weekend!

Lovin' Those Rolls

There is no denying our girl is thriving!  She is still having episodes of spitting up.  I tried to start keeping up with what I eat to see if that made it worse.  After a few days of that I could not see any correlation to my eating habits and her episodes.  Some days she will go all day without any significant spitting up and other days she does it a lot.  We started the Zantac earlier this week and will see if we see any improvements.  I also bought some Gripe Water to try.  I have heard several moms say it has worked wonders on their baby.  So far she is not to keen on taking it.  The dosage is a teaspoon and most of it rolls back out of her mouth.  She does not get a bottle often but when she does I have added the Gripe Water to it and seems to soothe her some.

Luke hurt his foot again at school today.  One of his friends pushed him down and fell on it.  The teacher told me he did not walk on it much the rest of the day and for us to watch it . He seemed ok at home tonight.  We will see.  He is definitely still limping on it and is not back to normal.

Just in Time

Trying to enjoy the sunshine!
This week I was going through Katherine's clothes and found this cute summer onesie.  I decided I would put her in it and I was glad I did.  It was hard for me to snap it.  It is a newborn size so I was not surprised.  We can definitely tell she is getting longer now, too.  We went to Babies R Us today to pick up some things and return some newborn diapers since she has outgrown them.  They returned them without any problems.  Katherine has been going for longer stretches at night now.  I usually feed her between 7:30 and 8:00 and she wakes up within 5 hours or so to eat and promptly goes back to sleep.  The next stretch is usually shorter - closer to 3 hours or so.  She wakes up for the day around 7:30 and eats and is ready to start her day!  We are loosely following BabyWise.  I try to keep her in a routine cycle throughout the day of eat/play/sleep.  When we stick to that she seems to do much better than when she falls asleep after eating and wakes up before time to eat again.  Of course, every day has its challenges but all in all Katherine seems to like the routine of her day so far.

Luke, however is still not sleeping well.  He has gone through phases in the past where he would wake up periodically but this phase is lasting a long time.  He falls asleep well with one of us (usually Paul) with him but then wakes up at least once during the night scared and yells for us.  Before he hurt his foot he would run down the hallway to our room and climb in the bed to which we would promptly return him to his room.  We hope this is just something he will outgrow soon.

Mattie Callahan came to take Katherine's newborn pictures when she was 2 weeks old.  She did great as I mentioned in an earlier post.  Here are just a portion of the great shots she got.  I realized I put mainly black and white photos on here.  Those tend to be my favorite!

Too Much Fun

Who would want to leave this sweet girl?
Monday morning Luke slept in a little later than normal.  By the time he woke up there really was not time for Paul to take him to school and get to work on time.  The plan was for Katherine and I to take Luke when she finished eating.  I had a morning of errands planned after we dropped him off.  Well, Luke decided he did not want to go to school.  He said it was "too much fun" at home with Katherine and I.  He also started saying "I can't walk" again, even though he could walk just fine. So rather than dragging him to school I decided to keep him home with us.

We had a great day! It was much more relaxed and better than Friday.  We had a nice morning.  Katherine slept and Luke and I played a lot.  For lunch we went to the drive through at Old MacDonald's (healthy, I know).  Next, we headed over to a little park in Goodlettsville to eat our picnic lunch and play on the play ground.  Nonna met us there since it was close to her work.  I did not take my camera since I had just planned to come back home and eat.  Luke had fun playing on the play ground.  The weather was great.

When we got home Luke wanted to watch a movie.  I told him we could not watch a movie unless he took a nap.  He continued to say he could not take a nap.  I had to feed Katherine so I just calmly continued to tell him he had to nap first.  When he refused I asked him to just come and sit with Katherine and I.  He asked to listen to music.  I found the easy- listening music channel on TV.  Within a few minutes Luke was sound asleep on the couch.  He stayed this way for 2-hours!  I kept my word and he was able to watch a movie when he woke up.

Riding on the Big Thomas...

Yay, Thomas!
Picture time
The only pic of the 3 of us...
He finally came alive on the train ride
Giving Sir Topham Hat a High Five
Excited to see Baby Katherine
Sunday, September 12th has been circled on our calendar for 6 weeks now.  The day we were to go "ride on the big Thomas" as Luke would say.  Paul actually ordered the tickets the night we found out Baby Katherine had to be admitted to Vanderbilt.  Since we were all upset that night before we left for the hospital Luke kept repeating "go ride on the big Thomas" over and over.  It was his way of coping with the situation.  We explained to him that we had to wait for the tickets to come in the mail.  He seemed satisfied with that answer for a while.

Paul and I were so excited to take him and had been looking forward to it as well.  When Luke sprained his ankle last week we were so afraid it would affect us going.  Of course we would not miss it!  Paula came to keep Katherine so just the three of us could have an outing together.  We had to wake Luke up from his nap so we could leave. This never has a good outcome. He said he did not want to go, etc.  He dozed off and on on the way there.  In our haste to get out of the house we left the stroller in my car-- we took Paul's car.  We did not realize it until we got there.  Normally it would not have been a big deal as Luke could walk.  He still is not back to normal with his walking.  Poor Paul ended up carrying him everywhere.

Luke basically stayed in a fog for the first hour.  He participated in the activities half-heartedly.  When we finally got on the train he perked up and started bouncing up and down.  He really enjoyed the quick train ride.  Nene and Pop gave him some money to buy a souvenir in the gift shop.  Luke could not find anything he wanted which never happens.  He finally decided on a huge Thomas balloon.  When it was time to leave he did not want to go and talked about going back to see Thomas the whole way home!  Isn't that how it always goes?!?!

Katherine and Nene had fun.  Paula said she was great and they were waiting on us outside when we got home.  Luke was excited to share his adventure!

Fun Day, Saturday

His foot is definitely better...
Nene and Lauren with Katherine
Saturday morning we went to the Troutts.  We wanted to check on the progress of the kitchen renovation and visit.  The kitchen looks so different - completely gutted.  Jim and Lauren were there.  I had not seen them since our trip to the lake in early summer.  They had not met Katherine yet.

To this point Luke has pretty much refused to walk on his foot.  We knew if anyone could persuade him it would be Pop.  Well, it worked.  Bill bribed him to walk by giving him a toy.  If he wanted a different toy from the cabinet he had to take two steps and so forth.  By the time we left he was walking from the den back to their bedroom to get Nene.  Amazing how things happen...we determined he had been pulling our leg (no pun intended) for a while.  Although we could tell it still bothered him he could bear weight on it without any problems.

We all went to eat lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings in Gallatin.  Luke stayed with Nene and Pop while Paul, Katherine and I came home.  Paul and I took the opportunity to rest, watch football and get some things done around the house.  Paula brought Luke home in time for supper. Of course, he had a great time with them, as always!

Little Pumpkin

We are so excited for fall!
While I was having my retail therapy at Target I picked up this cute little treat pail in the $1 section.  Oh, how I love the $1 section!  I thought Katherine looked super cute holding her trick-or-treat bucket.  Now, to decide what the kiddos will be this year.  When you ask Luke he says anything from a horse to a train.  We shall see...
