The Birthday Boy!

Ready for his BIG day!

Enjoying breakfast on his "You are Special Today" plate

Taking a nap before his Thomas party!
Luke has been talking about a Thomas the Train birthday party for about 6 months.  As soon as he spotted a Thomas birthday cake at Kroger last Summer he has had his mind set on it!  We started the day by letting him pick what he wanted to have for breakfast.  We had eggs, ham and biscuits.  Today Paul and I were the teachers in his Sunday School class because his normal teachers were out of town.  It was fun to be in there with him and the other children.  It was pretty low attendance today due to the holiday weekend so we only had 3 other kids besides Luke.

After church we decided to not break tradition so we went to Subway for lunch.  We stopped and picked up his cake and a few grocery items on our way home.  The party did not start until 4 so we had plenty of time to do the last minute things.  We had told Luke he had to take a nap if he wanted everyone to come over for his party.  When we got home he said he wanted to go get his train blanket and take his nap upstairs.  He got his blanket, walked upstairs and fell asleep on the couch.  We did not hear a peep out of him for two hours!  I can't say that he has ever been that willing to take a nap before.  When he got up he was ready to party!
