Luke was a good helper

Today was absolutely perfect weather. Sunny and in the low 70's.  What a way to kick off the fall!  We started the day by going to get Paul and Luke's hair cut.  Katherine and I watched and entertained Luke while Paul was finishing up.  After that we went to get Luke's Halloween costume.  He has been saying that he wanted to be Lightning McQueen for a week or so.  When we got to Target he tried the costume on and liked it.  But, then he saw the Thomas costume!  We encouraged him to try that one on, too (it was $10 cheaper).  He decided on Thomas.  I can't say I was surprised.  We told him that he could not change his mind once we got home with it. 

Paul trimmed all the shrubs yesterday but had not had time to pick up the clippings.  He and Luke worked on that when we got home.  Luke loves to help.  He got out his rake and helped Paul load the wheel barrow and take everything to the back fence row.  The rest of the day was spent watching football.  Poor Tennessee thought they had the win only to loose the game on a technicality.  Auburn's game was a blow out, but it was a non-conference game.  By tonight we were going stir crazy so we loaded up and went to Sam's.  We only needed liquid soap but we all enjoy browsing around in there!  We are not the only ones -- the store was packed.
