It is interesting how different it is with a second child. Instead of having showers and parties to celebrate their arrival they get the benefit of ongoing gifts. Katherine and I have been surprised numerous times when we open the mailbox or have a package arrive at the front door. She has received so many neat things. Just last week she received a beautiful handmade afghan from a friend of mine I used to work with (Hi Brande!), a precious pearl bracelet from Eric and Nan and a sweet card from the Etheridge's. I am so glad to learn that many people read our blog regularly and enjoy it! That, and the fact I do not have time to scrapbook, keeps me diligent with documenting our everyday life!
